Bible Reading Plan
At Sent Out Community Church, we practice daily Bible reading along with the SOAP Method of Bible Journaling, using the acronymn SOAP: S-Scripture; O-Observation; A-Application; and P-Prayer. Here is a simple example:
Attitude of Gratitude
S-One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, Praise God! Luke 17:15
O-Jesus saw ten lepers and told them to go present themselves to the priests, and on their way they were healed. Of the ten, only one returned to say thank you. Jesus was amazed by this, dumbfounded.
A-So many times, I don't realize or am not grateful for the blessings in my life. I tend to focus on the things I dislike or things that aren't going my way. Instead, I need to be grateful for everything.
P-Dear Lord, Help me to develop (and teach my kids) an attitude of being grateful for every gift. Help me see in the big AND the small.
